Yucatan Times comes to Mahahual

I guess now I can say I am officially a member of the Mexican Press and Media. I am going to write about Mahahual and life here for the website http://www.theyucatantimes.com based out of Merida, Mexico. They are also going to share this blog, and some of my articles. I am going to meet with them next week in Merida and get my press card and id. Here is the first article that was published yesterday,

Here is a description of the Yucatan Times that I got off of their Facebook page. I will have more information about the website, news, publishing and other media, when I get back from my trip to Merida.  You can check them out for yourself on Facebook at The Yucatan Times.

I still find it hard to believe that a good old southern boy from South Carolina would wind up living and writing about life in Mexico and Mahahual in a blog, that now has been picked up a big professional website like The Yucatan Times. It just goes to show you anything can happen in Mexico.

Thanks for reading,

This is very good! You’re a good writer, Stewart. Very “matter-of-fact”, a valuable skill in today’s journalism world. Conhratulations! Wish the money was good, but yiu may be able to pick up a little advertising commission on the side if you present the value to businesses in Majahual…and related entities (cruise ships, etc.).
BTW: Bought book you recommended (Piessel) and another on the Caste wars in the Yucatan that really bring to life the history, adventure, artifacts, and the people of the Yucatan. Great reading so far. Not finished. Cheating and skipping around these books. Fascinating!
