Since tomorrow is St. Patrick’s day, I am going to repost this article I did last year about some Irish history in Mexico.
Since today is St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I would share some history of the famous St. Patricio Battalion, and the history of the Irish soldiers of Mexico. I know a Mexican woman who is a descendent of these Irish soldiers, and her last name is Tandy.

On 12 September 1997, the Mexican government paid special tribute to the soldiers of the San Patricio Battalion who were tortured and hanged at the San Jacinto Plaza, San Ángel, in 1847.
